I must say this though

that during those early years as I grew up

I was always searching.

I always knew that there was something important that I had to do.

I didn't know what it was.

I went to a very strict prep school in a high school place called Harvard in Los Angeles.

that was an Episcopal School.

and I soon learned that I had little or no use for organized religion.

naturally, being a young man, I was very rebellious.

I valued very much people who have religious beliefs.

what I don't like

it is the kind of fundamentalism that I see today.

which is based I think on superstition, fear, Dogma.

where you have a rigid set of principles or rules.

whatever that governs life that kind of takes away from the free spirit of people.

so it is the extremes that I worry about.

and you might ask well then if you're not a religious person.

and I hope I am and I hope that my clients have brought me to that place.

because truthfully when I began my work, I was an atheist.

Today, I hope I'm more of a spiritual person.

I'm not a religious person. but

I hope I'm spiritual.

so, growing up in that community, I think fostered a lot of my inquiry about life.
